Testimonials
are not normally included in our web pages (the
one below being an exception) because we
often feel that they appear patronising and insincere. We don’t believe other
products testimonials so we figure that why should you believe ours? For those
of you who have taken the trouble to write in and especially those that
included photographs we would like to express our earnest gratitude. Everyone
likes to hear that their efforts are appreciated and we are always keen to get
feed back on our projects.
The team here at GA Projects decided to make an exception with this
communication for two reasons. Firstly we particularly liked its contents but
more importantly there are a number of points to be observed in the
accompanying pictures.
Here is the emails text (unedited).
I MADE ONE FROM THE
DOWNLOAD I GOT FROM YOU. WORKS GREAT. EVERYTHING COST ABOUT $80.00 BUT I BOUGHT
A NEW HEATER FAN. COULD OF BOUGHT USED ONE AND SAVED SOME CASH BUT DIDN'T FEEL
LIKE SHOPPING FOR ONE. THIS WENT INTO A 2.2 LITER S-10 PICK UP. GOT IT UP TO
110 MPH. IT'S NEVER GONE THAT FAST EVEN DOWN HILL. THANKS FELLAS. PETER KEESAL
Thankyou Peter. Of course we are sure Peter didn’t do 110 mph on
a public road J, just like we are sure young Ryan and Tyron aren’t responsible
for the thick tyre marks plastering our access road!
Peter is
obviously a skilled metal worker and his bending procedure is somewhat superior
to the methods we use. Our ‘tab and tube’ technique isn’t as neat but is much
easier to accomplish.
We are a
little concerned that the air filter is too small. The only way to find out is
by measuring absolute pressure (read vacuum) in the air filters cavity or
attachment tube. 1” or 2” Hg (inches of mercury) is fine but any more than that
is likely to indicate excessive flow resistance.
Peter has used
red tape to connect his supercharger to its air ducting. We assume that this is
only a temporary measure as it will surely leak before long and may well blow
off altogether. Our adapter does have drawbacks (hard to remove the lid once
fitted) but is easy to manufacture and has proven to be very reliable.
